Promethean Screen Calibration with Active Inspire
Promethean Screen Calibration with Active Inspire
Issue: When using the local computer with the Active Inspire app, there appears to be a screen calibration problem. The touch input is misaligned, users tap a specific point on the screen, but the system registers the touch in a different location, indicating that the touch area is not properly localised.
Possible Fix:
Access the local desktop where the Active Inspire application is installed, then follow these steps to recalibrate the screen:
1: Right-click on the desktop and select Display Settings from the context menu.
2: In the System > Display section, use the drop-down menu under Multiple Displays and choose Extend these displays.
3: When prompted, select Revert (do not confirm the change). This action will trigger the system to recalibrate the screen back to its original resolution.
Visual Cue:
When the local machine is broadcasting to the Promethean screen, you may notice that the image appears oversized, causing parts of it to overlap or extend beyond the visible area. This display issue can interfere with touch calibration, where the touch input does not align correctly with the screen.
Resolution:
Applying the suggested fix allows the Promethean to display the image in full screen, restoring proper resolution and resolving the calibration issue.
